Strategy Project Lead
This is a contract to hire position. The contract is up to 6 months with a potential to be hired in a permanent role by the client. The description is about the ongoing role, but the first 6 months will have a specific set of deliverables.

Description

Position Summary:

Executable strategy requires fusing insightful thinking with disciplined execution to achieve breakthrough performance. The Strategy Project Lead works on initiatives assigned by the Strategy Director related to attaining profitable / revenue growth, innovating and developing the next generation of products and services, and intelligently navigating risk. Such challenges require more than identifying new possibilities and making tough choices. They also require bridging the gap between vision and execution.
Functions:
1. Adhere to General Work Requirements
2. Responsible for leading delivery of projects or subsets of projects as specified by Director of Strategy
3. Critically evaluate these opportunities and develop robust, investment grade business cases. Business cases will include: projected revenue, financial model, five year strategic plan, identified resources and requirements needed to execute and the go-to-market strategy. Present business case to leadership for decision making.
4. Develop key strategic business development initiatives related to next generation of the client�s business with a focus on international expansion. Reviewing operational requirements, using financial modeling techniques.
5. Communication and leadership with Senior Executives. Assist Director in developing executive level presentations that succinctly and persuasively communicate the strategic plan
6. Responsible for the regular communication of strategic plan to senior level executives both internally and externally
7. Assist with partner and partnership identification, assessment, development, and negotiation for key business strategic initiatives focused on ROI, margin, growth, and risk management
8. Liaison with Finance in evaluating the impact of the planning base upon market position as well as operational requirements to sustain new business model.
9. Coordinate with Product Management group to ensure strategic initiatives are transitioned effectively and thoroughly post-concept and execution phase


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in strategic planning, management consulting, business or financial analysis
- Must have performed significant amounts of business case development

Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate / Pending graduate of Top 20 MBA program (any creditable ranking)
- 3+ years of post-MBA experience
- Consulting experience with one of the major strategy consulting firms or -
- Solid previous industry experience with travel and transportation, hospitality, and/or luxury goods
- Product development background
- Significant experience building complex business models
- Working knowledge of marketing and customer-driven experience, directing and supporting business development and sales processes
- Previous international / global development experience
